Research and Development
In October 2004, Sico earned its ISO 14001
certification, showing the company's commitment to both its Customers
and the environment.
Our R&D team develops safe products by selecting raw materials that are
"environmentally friendly" i.e. resins and additives free of hazardous
air pollutant substances (HAPS) and pigments that do not contain lead.
We are focusing on three main areas of development:

Design an alternative to isocyanate-related
products recognized as safety hazards.

Develop water-based products.

If a solvent-based product is necessary for
application and performance purposes, reduce the VOC's (Volatile
Organic Compounds) of this product.
Waterborne Technology:
 The Aqualux Series offers fast drying water-based
alkyd primer, containing exceptional anti-corrosive properties, and a
waterborne acrylic top coat with excellent adhesion properties for a
wide variety of substrates.
